I'm not too sure about this recent radical idea in a local Primary school that got their teachers to take a mock PSLE exam. The reason is that they could then have a good grasp of the type and level of questions their students would be facing, thus allowing them to peg their lessons and preparations accordingly. Sounds like a decent idea, especially when they are faced with the same exam atmospherics and time pressure that their students would face. Notably, the school decided not to mark the exams. Wonder what would have happened if a teacher failed the PSLE? Guess it would be Back To School for him. :-)
