It's About Time

While downloading songs, I came across this absolute beauty titled 'How Long Will I Love You'. It's taken from the 'About Time' (which is probably a smashing new movie, from what I can gather) soundtrack. and I encourage everyone out there to give this wonderful song a listen. It's like, romantic to the max and very meaningful too.

When I first gave it a listen, I thought it sounds quite old-school, like something from the 60s almost... Not exactly a modern type of song, if you get my drift..... But then I figured it must be a modern song, coz I've never ever heard it before in my life... and that's when the joy kicked in... a great, modern song with a sentimental, almost country-like quality. In fact, there's one part of the song that sounds almost like the old classic 'When Will I See You Again', but it quickly proves it's not, and that's where the originality of the song kicks in.

And if that's not enough, there're actually two different versions of the song... one by the English multi-instrumentalist trio Jon Boden, Sam Sweeney & Ben Coleman; and another by another English multi-instrumentalist Ellie Goulding. I must say both versions are good (I downloaded both) but I think Goulding's version is just slightly better, just because I think this song is more a girl's song.
