The Premier League is a very different place these days. Anyone can beat anyone; and I mean anyone. Leicester City are surging up the table and look like they can beat just about anyone. 'Relegation certainties' Sheffield United are 6th in the league; look organised as hell and have the joint-best defensive record in the league. Another 'relegation-hopeful' Aston Villa don't really look like being relegated; with captain Jack Grealish putting on a human-highlight performance almost every week. FA Cup finalists Watford; who have done pretty decent the last two seasons; are actually at the bottom. Bournemouth are 7th. Southampton; under great saviour Ralph Hassenhuttl last season; got hammered 9-0 at home by Leicester and are now 18th. And Wolves; after a bad start; have now won at Man City and drawn at Arsenal and look to be pushing for the Europa League slots now.
And Brighton are now 8th and two places ABOVE Manchester United. Gone are the days whereby Man United could win just about any game; that the chance of them losing was lower then the chance of you wining TOTO. What we do know is that Brighton; with Graham Potter having reversed the ultra-negative tactics of one Chris Hughton and engineered a new bright way of playing; and with ex-Genk star Leandro Trossard firing on all cylinders and Adam Webster & Lewis Dunk forming a formidable partnership in central defence; they will be going to Old Trafford thinking they can take home all three points. Old Trafford is certainly not a place of trepidation anymore; with teams now willing to go there to attack rather than sit back meekly hoping for a narrow loss.
