Like a leech in time, 'Ford v Ferrari' starts growing on you. A pretty interesting story that somehow sucks you in as the plot develops. The plot centres on how car-designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and race-car driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) combine for Ford to overcome the odds and take out Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans racing competition... with several twists and turns along the way...
I like how this was a true story... it makes it authentic and realistic... the ending is a little anti-climactic... but like I said; as it is based on a true story; it makes it all the more real and meaningful. In the end, the driving sequences and Bale's intense acting more or less tip the scales in its favour.
