This was a unique game. The first half was so close; a terrifically fought affair between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers. The visiting Trail Blazers; led by their twin speedy guards of Damian Lillard & C.J McCollum; played maybe their best half of the season; making shots from all over and hustling supremely to go neck-and-neck with the favourite Clippers.
Then the second half happened; and what was working for the Blazers in the first half became its very own nemesis. Relying on isolation-ball ala James Harden-style, the Blazers managed to torch it up in the first half. But in the second half, the Clippers managed to turn up their vaunted defense to stifle the one-on-one Clippers. Suddenly, the momentum swung over to the home side; and riding the hot hand of sharp-shooting Paul George and the incredible athleticism of Montrezl Harrell, the Clippers won going away; overwhelming the Blazers in a 20-point blowout.
