With 987FM rolling out their Top 100 Hits of 2019; I decided to do some 'reflection' and see what would be the best song of the year...

Niall Horan's daring 'Nice To Meet Ya' or Marshmello (feat. Kane Brown's) rather-ubiquitous 'One Thing Right'?
Or maybe 'Don't Call Me Angel' by star-of-the-moment Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus & Lana Del Rey?
Other dark horses for me would be Selena Gomez's evocative 'Lose You To Love Me' and the rhythmic 'No Sleep' by Martin Garrix feat Bonn...
I must say certain highly-rated songs that I'm definitely not a fan of include 'Dance Monkey' by Tones & I and '10,000 Hours' by Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber... there is nothing catchy I find about those songs lol...
Other strong contenders would be the popular 'Shallow' by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper; K-Pop knock-outs 'Kill This Love' (Blackpink) & 'Boy With Luv' (BTS feat. Halsey); comeback hit 'Sucker' from Jonas Brothers and the all-conquering 'Senorita' from Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello...
But after thinking through, my song for 2019 would be 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi... the epic song with the beautiful melody is my pick for the knock-out song of the year...
