I must admit a tear did come into my eye when I read The Straits Times article about the sad demise of Kobe Bryant... it was like suddenly this was truly true news as it was The Straits Times... even though I already knew it was true from the credible sources before...
It just struck me that even though I never supported the Lakers or Bryant particularly; what basically overall he created so many superb and indelible memories that are basically etched into your mindset subconsciously... that feeling of greatness and happiness as you watch the great hobby of basketball...
In my mind, Michael Jordan is No. 1 and he is No. 2; the years when he was dominant and could basically hit any shot that needed to be hit; and that killer mentality that marked him out as so special... it was his stamina and never-quenching desire to win that made him stand out...
