Just watched the 2018 Chinese flick 'Still Human' starring Anthony Wong and it's a real knock-out. An intensely heart-warming story featuring the relationship between a 'grumpy old man' and his Filipino maid; showing how people can get mis-interpreted; understanding their intense backgrounds; the power of unusual friendships and the power of dreams.
I actually found myself crying during the show. Quite a few times. Maybe it's the poignant plot. Or the superb emotional acting. Or maybe the lovely piano melodies filling the show. The wistful and engaging plot draws you in and leaves you wanting for more. Above all; it s a celebration of the Human spirit.
