For the latest in a long line of tennis starlets; you'd do well to look at Marie Bouzkova; the shy, unassuming 21 year-old from Czech Republic currently ranked No. 47 in the world. I watched her play in the semi-final of the Monterrey Open against Britain No. 1 Johanna Konta and she was impressive; winning in straight sets 6-3; 6-4.
No doubt Konta was affected by injury during the game; but Bouzkova's impressive ground-strokes and steely nerves caught the eye; especially in the second set that featured a number of tense, precipitously-close games that Bouzkova just about saw through.
