Long Road To Ruin

So the current discussion about when football should return amidst this coronavirus pandemic is a tough one: start too soon; you might compromise the safety of everyone involved and re-start circuit-breaker measures; taking everything back to square one. Start too late: and the economy & societal health suffers and some smaller football clubs might even go into bankruptcy and ruin due to the absence of revenue. It's a tough call; there's no easy decisions and seems like there's pros and cons no matter which road you take.

Anyways; the German Bundesliga will be starting on 16 May 2020 and we're all getting very excited about it; with maybe new fans now for the league lol. And the first match I have targeted to watch will be the Ruhr Valley derby between powerhouse Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04; which promises to be a helluva match. And I'll certainly be looking out for Jonjoe Kenny; the young Everton right-back on loan at Schalke who is currently impressing all & sundry with his renewed performance; leading to a 16 million-pound valuation on Football Manager (lol) & proving the adage again that going on loan is a great way to boost your confidence in the starting eleven and come back 'a different player'. Just look at Mason Holgate at West Brom.
