Prince officially made the 'name change' something cool in the mid-90s when he adopted the 'Love Symbol' as his name. Aghast music officials and fans all around the world were left wondering how to call him: 'The Former Prince'; 'The Symbol'; or 'The Artist Formerly Known as Prince' were the phrases bandied about. Well, now; former NBA Defensive Player of the Year Ron Artest has taken name-changing to new heights; by changing his name TWICE from the rather-bizarre Metta World Peace (in 2011) to now Metta Sandiford-Artest; adopting the last name of his wife. Kanye West would be proud.
