76ers Show No Brotherly Love

On their quest for a NBA championship; the Los Angeles Clippers know they will have to go through all comers; friend or foe; in either Conference. They would surely have to go through tough tests to prove their mettle. And it don't get no tougher than the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center; where they have lost only 2 home games all season.

Unlike their previous game against the Cavaliers; the Clippers did not start this game well again. They looked a tad lethargic; too slow and not penetrative enough; and that is a danger against the energetic; passionate and long 76ers team; especially on their home floor. Even though they did come back into it in the second & fourth quarters; the 76ers proved they had the overall desire and package to come out triumphant in this close contest; which could even be a preview of the NBA Finals.

Ben Simmons; surely one of the best two-way players in the league; spearheaded the Sixers charge with  a triple-double of 26 points; 12 rebounds and 10 assists in an action-packed 43 minutes; and he was backed up ably by star center Joel Embiid; who had 26 points in 28 minutes. The  game was lit by a confrontation late on between Marcus Morris Sr & Embiid; two non-shrinking violets if ever there was one; in a situation familiar to the earlier Karl Anthony Towns-Embiid Twitter fiasco.
