Today we turn the spotlight on one of my favourite songs: 'September Song' by JP Cooper. It is about a time of young romance & innocence; as September is typically the month in UK whereby students return to school; thus the song is about a boy who is looking forward to going back to school so he can see this girl again.
And the best thing is: the video for the song is just as good. It features a young boy who happens to pass by a girl he likes on the street. Every day he passes her; and just wishes he can get to know her. One night; he sees her completing a half-done graffiti on the walls before the cops chase her off; and he later completes the graffiti while finally coming to her attention. It is probably the first video I've ever seen that brought tears to my eyes.
