In Too Deep

The movie '47 Meters Down: Uncaged'  is a decent; if a little cheap-skate pseudo-horror film about a group of young high-school girls who decide to take a trip into the wilderness... or rather the deeperness; into the Mayan city; but end up trapped by a group of sharks that are circling around it.

But it does not descend into the trap of total C-side slapper flickiness & dodgy video; able to rise (pardon the pun) into decent Hollywood-esque fare with decent screams and average plot; as befits the decent hype surrounding this sequel.

The acting from the girls is largely decent; and the plot does lend suspense with how each person is being killed by the sharks one by one; leading you to wonder just who is next. In the end; the two step-sisters are left surviving by literally a hair's breadth; as their engrossing will they-won't they adventure ends up saved in the middle of nowhere by a tourist boat.
