Apart from the opening ten minutes when they looked slightly nervy; Leeds displayed the breath-taking; free-flowing; high-intensity type of football that manager Marcelo Bielsa has been made famous for. After new signing Robin Koch handled the ball to give away a Mohamed Salah penalty; their free-flowing play from the back saw promising youngster Jack Harrison score a fabulous equaliser to punish some slack defending from Trent Alexander-Arnold & Joe Gomez.
It was Robin who Koch-up again by leaving Virgil van Dijk free for the header to restore Liverpool's lead; but amazingly; they managed to equalise again after some rather-arrogant defending from van Dijk left Patrick Bamford with the chance to score.
Another semi-error from Pascal Struijk allowed Salah to strike home a beauty to restore Liverpool's lead; but again amazingly; it was Polish international Mateusz Klich who latched on to Helder Costa's through-ball to level things up again midway through the second half.
In the end; Liverpool were rather fortunate as substitute Rodrigo made a crazy foul on Fabinho just two minutes before the end; allowing Salah to compete his hat-trick and win the game for Liverpool. Leeds though; have made everyone sit up to take notice and they certainly will be a force to be reckoned with in the Premiership this season.
