And we haven't even talked about the teams yet... because this season; it seems there are many challengers and things could get really close. Can Liverpool defend their title; or as Juergen Klopp likes to put it; can they attack it? Will Manchester City come back with a vengeance? Because with or without Messi; you know Josep Guardiola & his men are gonna want the title back.
And the London trio all have something to prove. We're talking about Chelsea; who have spent big & very well; Arsenal; who look primed for big things after winning both the FA Cup & Community Shield; and Tottenham; who look to bounce back and become more relevant again under Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea especially look pretty equipped to challenge for the big things; they have bought excruciatingly well; with Bundesliga hotshot Timo Werner; the exciting Hakim Ziyech and one of the best players in the world; Kai Havertz amongst those to join the ranks. The fact that they have blooded their youngsters like Mason Mount; Tammy Abraham; and Recce James last transfer-enforced season has actually put them in an even stronger position this time round.
And what of the newcomers? Has there been a stronger promoted team ever than Leeds United? Marcelo Bielsa is certainly one of the top managers in the world and can they continue their high-intensity pressing game to work in the Premiership? Also; WBA & Fulham will try to erase mistakes of seasons past to have a better journey in the Premiership.
