It brings back memories of that heady time; when United somehow overcame obstacle after obstacle to reach what many thought unthinkable. It was a worthy riposte after Arsenal's own heady double of 1997-98 as well as David Beckham's tumultuous 1998 World Cup where he was sent off at the hands of Diego Simeone.
With the best goalkeeper in the world Peter Schmeichel; a raucous Gary Neville; a Roy Keane at the peak of his game; David Beckham & Ryan Giggs on the wings and spearheaded by the best partnership in history of Dwight Yorke & Andy Cole; that United team was indeed the stuff of legend. Perhaps the game that tilted the balance was that epic FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal; themselves a team at the top of their game. Even though down to 10 men; Schmeichel saved Dennis Bergkamp's last-gasp penalty; and Ryan Giggs proceeded to score the second-best goal in history (behind you know which one) to send United through in fairy-tale fashion. After that; everything seemed unstoppable for them.
There is also sufficient coverage on the massive comeback against Juventus in the Champions League semi-final 2nd leg; when Roy Keane sacrificed himself to get a second yellow but vowed to take United through; which they somehow did. There are some interesting back stories as well; such as the Bad Blood between Cole & Teddy Sheringham when both saw Red; and also Jesper Blomqvist suffering stage fright in the final. All in all; a good documentary well worth the time.
