Fulham had the better of the first half; but were slightly hamstrung with the absence of rampaging left-back Antonee Robinson; and Andreas Pereira in place of Sasa Lukic was not the right move for me; with the Brazilian probably better suited higher up the pitch. As such; the Everton tactic of doubling up on Sander Berge worked well; with the previously-composed holding midfielder forced to give up possession on several occasions.
For Everton; their players seem to be playing with the tide behind their back. Fans might have been worried with the inclusion of Ashley Young & Michael Keane; but it was the latter who put them decisively in front with a far-post header that snuck in beyond Fulham's' backline. Even better; it was suddenly in-form Beto who wrapped things up with a clinical finish just moments later; albeit due to a very uncharacteristic groping error from Bernd Leno.
