Taking It All

The latest documentary to roll out from Netflix is 'Take That'; a comprehensive 3-episode blockbuster of the greatest boyband in the world back in the 90s. The thing I like about this documentary is well; its completeness; it covers never-before-seen juicy details and doesn't hold anything back.

As such; we see things we never saw before; such as the rift between Gary Barlow & Robbie Williams that eventually led to the latter leaving; and the continued jealousy as Williams soared way over Barlow in what nobody really expected. In the end though; perhaps inevitably as they started to mature; true sense meant they got back together again.

My favorite is actually the final episode; when the story zooms in on their re-birth if you will. Just like Pet Shop Boys; Roxette and a host of others; I actually liked them more after their peak period; when I felt their songs were actually better and maybe less teeny-boppyish. U know what I mean ;-) the Patience days when they seemed to find a new level. I also struggled to hold back a tear when I saw Williams reuniting with the band again after years away... that was something to behold.
