Yesterday, I went with my girlfriend and parents to this place at Nassim Hill called 'Feed Lot' for brunch. It was a nice place; we got to sit alfresco in the cool weather in this balcony, porch-like extension. The breezy weather soon turned to rain, and then to thunderstorms. But it was cool because the automatic blinds surrounding the porch started coming down and we were totally protected from the rain. I started to get a rather surreal feeling: you know, like it's crashing rain and hell-weather high all over the place, but we were sitting in this cosy little porch totally dry having breakfast and totally unaffected by the rain.
It was a really nice place to have breakfast, spacious and all, and it helped that my Eggs Benedict + smoked salmon tasted pretty good. Even my iced cranberry juice tasted good. We even had appetite after the main course for some desserts of Creme Brulee and Dark Chocolate Mousse, which tasted nice as well. The service was also good, led by the cheerful captain who supports Bryan Robson and Man Utd (and who cheerily pointed out my Everton jersey). All in all, it was a great Sunday brunch, one of the best I've had in recent times.
