Yesterday, I went to the dentist at Paragon, 19th floor, Atria-Pan Dental Centre. Really nice place, good atmospherics, great dentist who says and does things gently so you don't feel any pain at all. It seems hard to believe that a trip to the dentist could be enjoyable, but it is in this case.
I then proceeded to Ngee Ann City and Kinokuniya and purchased the latest autobiography. Dear, I know you're gonna read this and complain but I couldn't help it! This makes it something like 372 books I have that I haven't read yet, but I'll make sure I get down to all of them.
This latest one is on Chris Sutton, the former Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea and Glasgow Celtic superstar. He was one half of the feared Shearer-And-Sutton (SAS) combination at the Rovers team that smashed all opposition to claim the Premiership crown in 1995. That was a superb Rovers team consisting of talents such as Colin 'Braveheart' Hendry, serial tackler David Batty and England left-back Graeme Le Saux. A team too hot for even Man Utd to handle.
While Shearer provided the presence and aerial ability, Sutton provided the mobility and fluidity. A keen goal-scorer adept with both feet, Sutton set the Premiership alight with vital goals for Blackburn, both home and away. His success earned him a big-money and high-profile transfer to Chelsea, where his fortunes unfortunately dipped into the abyss. In the latter stages of his career, he found redemption in the SPL with Celtic, and regained his scoring touch there.
