Boys' Night Out

Tonight, we had a pretty good workshop entitled ‘Fair Employment, Worklife Balance’ by Chief Success Officer (CSO) Ean Yeo. It kind of brought me to the realisation that in order to have complete balance in our life, we probably need to have the 5 categories of Work, Family, Friends, Health and Hobbies. If you’ve got these 5 things going for you, you should more or less be in good shape. Thus, one really shouldn’t work so hard at work as to forget everything else; your family may not be best pleased, and your health might suffer as a result, for example. You also need to remember that you can always find another job, but you’ll never be able to find another family.

After that, 8 of us guys went down to Five @ Cuppage Plaza for a classic BNO (Boys’ Night Out). Nabil couldn’t make it as he was feeling under the weather, but SPH staff Damon Seow joined us to make up the 8. I think we must have had about 8 towers of beer, so that in itself was a minor miracle. We all had a blast and it was really fun. Richard also went on stage to sing the Chinese song ‘Tong Hua‘ (Fairytale) and he did a great job of it. This was our 3rd time at Five and it’s starting to feel like our home-ground. The guys around us were all really fun and we had a good time talking and drinking with them.
