Over
the years, I’ve become a serious foodaholic. I just love to eat
nowadays. Live To Eat. I like chicken rice, bak kut teh, wanton noodles,
laksa, sashimi, chocolate cake (especially Absolute Chocolate), haw
flakes…… the list goes on. But my absolute favourite in life is RAMEN.
There’s just something about the noodle texture, the power-packed,
super-tasty soup, the awesome-smelling broth….. My personal favourite is
Marutama Ramen, which has several branches all over Singapore,
including the branch which I frequent most; at Liang Court, which is
near my place.
So today, I was extremely pleased when my good friend Alvin Yeo
introduced me to a Ramen place at Tras Street (CBD area) which I had
never tried before. It was magnificent. The noodle texture & taste
was solid, but it’s the soup that is super-tasty and rich. It’s a nice,
cozy little Jap place that is often crowded and teeming with long queues
outside. The name of the place is ‘Ramen Keisuke: Tonkotsu King‘.
It’s a pretty authentic, typical Jap restaurant that you can choose
your preferred noodle texture, soup base and all that. What I also like
about the place is that it’s very accessible (right along the road-side)
and they provide free tau geh and hard-boiled egg.
Yum yum, can’t wait for my next trip there!
