25 years ago, Guns N' Roses took the world by storm with 'The Spaghetti Incident'. Today, something is making Singapore go crazy called 'The Spitting Incident'. There is hardly a Singaporean today who has not heard of this case.
Nowadays, it's quite scary. If you anyhow do something, someone can video it, put it on Facebook, it gets shared around like 20 million times and you're famous! The world will know you, for better or worse. If you anyhow drive your car and change lanes without signalling, someone could just video you and the video can go mega-viral in the online stratosphere, with the non-too-flattering headline of 'Terrible Driver Breaks All Traffic Rules' or something like that. Go toilet shit also must shit properly. Dun anyhow whack.
And the best thing is that there's a dominant social media site called Facebook that the whole world is on; thus if you post something there, you know the whole world is gonna know it. I think it's a good thing that this guy was brought to justice. It'll be a good deterrent to everyone not to act like a madman and all that, and not start spitting at girls all over the place, or cutting queues and all sorts of funny stuff. The world is watching.
