Looking forward eagerly to this Sat's early kick-off between Everton & West Ham United... after an international break week; the EPL is back roaring to action... Everton go into this game with some trepidation I'm sure... they are currently 18th in the Premier League; relegation zone my friends... after a rather terrible run that saw them lose 4 straight games; amidst a swell of non-confidence; disparate-looking players; who are failing to show much creativity in attack amidst a maelstrom of fan discontent at both manager & players...
Is there really no Silva lining? How much time does our friend have left? Frankly, what began as a rather capable start has rather petered out into a dire run of results; with players not playing up to potential and every team seemingly dying to play us... West Ham are looking pretty good; with an awesome Premiership-winning manager in Manuel Pellegrini and a host of top-notch players such as England international Declan Rice, Brazilian star Felipe Anderson and new signing Sebastien Haller... they also have hot-shot Andriy Yarmolenko; whom Everton actually wanted to sign not so long ago. He is a player bang-on-form and the type that could cause Everton serious damage with his flamboyant skill & unpredictable ways. They also have sentimental favourite Jack Wilshere who is always ready and talented in my opinion.
So it promises to be a fascinating game at Goodison Park... will the atmosphere be toxic? Can Everton reverse the downward spiral against a tough West Ham team? And how much more time does Marco Silva have left?
