The Los Angeles Clippers continued their excellent start to the new NBA season with a comprehensive 141-122 victory at the home of the perennial favourites Golden State Warriors' brand-new Chase Center in San Francisco.
It was another pedigree performance from the NBA title favourites; you've got to love this Clippers team. They are so long; so deep and so mature; with composure; team-work and effort second to none... just a beautiful team to watch.
Patrick Beverley was again their inspirational captain on the court; producing another typical stat-line of 5 points; 4 rebounds; 3 assists & 5 steals in 28 high-intensity minutes. There he was diving on the floor for loose balls; taking charges against much bigger opponents; skying in the air for unfathomable offensive rebounds... just a really fun character to watch...
He was supported by another stellar bench effort; with the unflappable Lou Williams (22 points/8 assists); Montrezl Harrell (18 points/6 boards); Maurice Harkless (10 points in another athletic effort) and JaMychal Green again overwhelming the opposition with all-round productive play...
For Golden State; they look to have a long way to go to reach the standards of years past... D'Angelo Russell did look explosive at times but too many new faces, too much young blood and a lack of cohesive structure were plain to see in this one...
Just 2 games in; and you saw it here first - I think the LA Clippers are gonna be the NBA champions this season...
