Patrick Beverley came up big... as the LA Clippers & Boston Celtics played out a frenetic, frenzied NBA Finals-type overtime thriller at Staples Center. When the dust had cleared, it was the Clippers who came out with the 107-104 win; having come back stirringly from 10 points down late in the 4th quarter to seal this tantalising win.
The Celtics, leading the Eastern Conference with a stellar 11-2 record coming into the game; displayed all the reasons why; staying true to their identity; working harder even than the Clippers; snaring offensive rebounds and riding the hot hand of Jayson Tatum.
In the end, the exploits of Beverley proved crucial; as he played great defence; snared some unbelievable offensive rebounds; and hit crucial corner three-pointers to bring the Clippers home.
