The reviews got it right: JJ Lin's concert at the National Stadium was a huge success. Packing 40,000 into the National Stadium; it certainly had the right feel & atmosphere for a proper, sold-out global concert. His voice sounds just as good 'live' as in-studio; being smooth, crystal-clear and able to hit the high notes. But the most beautiful part for me was the closing stage sequence; when the stage was transformed into a New York-style, Christmas-style cacophony of bright lights. I've simply never seen a more beautiful stage than that. Another highlight was the introduction of former mentor A-Do in the audience; and the veteran singer proved he still got it; even by belting out just 1-2 lines of his former song. JJ Lin also staggered his hit songs well throughout the show; with She Says, If Only and River South peppering the show to ensure the crowd was raucously engaged.
