The most surreal part of this match between LA Clippers & the defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors happened BEFORE the match. As ex-Toronto legend Kawhi Leonard stood on court watching the special tribute video by the Raptors playing on the big screen before collecting his championship ring; there was a part when he looked away; he couldn't bear to see any more; as if it was getting too emotional and he wouldn't be able to compete AGAINST the Raptors for the Clippers on this night.
As fate would have it; Leonard goes on to have an excellent night; reminding the Raptor fans what they have been missing with a stellar performance; coming up big every time the Clippers needed him. Make no mistake; the defending champion Raptors are still an excellent team; and they have surprised many (including myself) how well they are doing this season. They pushed the Clippers close; till the 2-3 zone defense of the Clippers totally bewildered the Raptors and transformed this game almost single-handedly. In the end; the Clippers won going away; another excellent road win in their fast-developing season...
