I agree with the recent Best Actor win for Joaquin Phoenix and agree that he is probably the leading contender for the coming Academy Awards. I have always liked him as an actor; even when he was not so famous and even struggling somewhat. He's got that essential quality of an actor; that unique look... that 'X' factor that just marks him out as an actor... I think he was the perfect man to play Joker; having lost that weight and looking rather skinny; gangly and with that authentic haunted look like the whole world was against him... it was the performance of a generation and one everyone will remember...
