Paul George took a shot on his left eye from an inadvertent DeMar DeRozan elbow; then delivered his own big shot to win this contest with the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs; probably better than their 22-27 record shows; led for big periods of this game and were always close; with DeRozan continuing to excel in the mid-range game and side-kick LaMarcus Aldridge pouring in big-time as well; especially in the fourth quarter.
As this tight contest descended on its inexorable climax; both teams slugged it out and traded blows in a Playoffs-like contest. Finally; tt was left to George to do the Michael Jordan-Bryon Russell pull-back cross-over dribble on Lonnie Walker to seal the win for the home team.
