Why is BTS so successful? The boss of Big Hit Entertainment has spoken; and the reasons are largely based on a different approach adopted as compared to other K-Pop stars. Firstly, they are given a laissez-faire approach; meaning the members have their own individual social media accounts and can post what they want; not being restricted or controlled by their agency. This fosters a closer and personal connection with their fans; thus leading to this long-term relationship. Also, the members are given a bigger say on their careers and are not over-controlled; thus leading to greater ownership and happiness. And also; the agency made a big step to stay on them and focus on their power; as compared to the usual approach of supporting an act for a few years; and then starting another group once they feel that the band has reached its maturity (and hopefully not die a natural death). All these have allowed BTS to not only conquer Korea but also the world and establish a great longevity and success in their career.
