The Final Countdown

Rarely has a final day of the season had so much riding on it; the championship may already been decided; but the European & relegation places are certainly not. And the best part is some of the teams involved are going directly at each other; notably Leicester City & Manchester United who will fight it out in the 'Champions League Play-Off'' at King Power Stadium. Manchester United need only a draw to ensure they stay in the top four; but Leicester; having looked top-four certainties for so much of the season; will be desperately gunning for a win.

If that wasn't enough; 4th-placed Chelsea play 6th-placed Wolves and the Blues also need only a point to secure Champions League qualification. Wolves also need a win to ensure qualification for the Europa League; unless of course Arsenal wins the FA Cup which would allow the 7th-placed team to qualify for Europa. All pretty confusing. And exciting too.

At the other end of the table; it is just as dramatic; as Aston Villa's unlikely win over Arsenal in mid-week; coupled with Watford's 4-0 thrashing by Man City; mean that it all goes down to the expensive wire come deadline day. What it basically means is that Villa need to at least match Watford's result come final day. The trick is: Villa travel to West Ham who are already safe; whilst Watford face the tougher assignment away at FA Cup finalists Arsenal.

All will be decided....
