A further twist to the Barcelona saga is how new manager Ronald Koeman has literally wasted no time in telling his players who is not wanted here. Reportedly those given the boot include Samuel Umtiti; Ivan Rakitic & Arturo Vidal.
But perhaps the most surprising one is how he told Barca legend Luis Suarez he was not needed in a curt telephone call lasting all of 6o seconds. It all caps a pretty hefty fall from grace from one of the best players on the planet with Liverpool; to one of Barcelona's legendary players; a key contributor in their glorious phase. That decision also does not sit well with Messi; who is one of Suarez's closest friends.
