The first half saw Everton at their free-flowing best; pinging the ball around like Real Madrid and scoring three lovely goals; primarily through the left-wing crossing of Lucas Digne and the poaching instinct of Golden Boot leader Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
However; in the second half; Everton somehow stepped off the gas; leading to Fulham seizing the initiative and seeing the visitors come 'under pressure'. In the end; the final 20 minutes were quite a heart-stopping affair; as Fulham's three substitutes of Aleksandar Mitrovic; Ruben Loftus-Cheek & Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa made a difference; with Loftus-Cheek pulling it back to 3-2.
There was even a missed penalty from Ivan Cavaleiro right before the goal; and Fulham have now missed their last three from the spot; after earlier failures from Mitrovic and former Everton man Ademola Lookman.
