The movie world was up in arms recently over Warner Bros' stunning decision to release its movies on streaming site HBO Max at the same time as cinemas.
From a past of showing movies exclusively in cinemas and maybe watching it on TV say 3 years later; the role of cable TV & streaming services has shown movies appearing on TV closer & closer to the time at cinemas; and now it has reached full circle with showing at the same time.
So the question is: will people still go to the cinemas instead of watching it at home? Is the power & sound system of the cinema enough to bring people there? How much business will be affected? Is this the beginning of the end for cinemas?
