Clippers Steal The Thunder

Let's get this straight: the Los Angeles Clippers have actually been playing quite well this season. But they are at an awful 1-4 start. They have been getting decent looks; but not making their shots. They have looked a bit disorganized at both ends; but yet are playing hard. So it has been a rather strange one so far.

And when they kicked off this game against the young & upstart Oklahoma City Thunder; it seems the same problems were resurfacing again. They got off to a tentative start; opening with a wretched 1-16 three-point performance; and the Thunder were showing their youthful roots; with former Clipper Shai Gilgeous-Alexander again showing off his near All-Star form.

Credit to t he Clips though; they hung tough and managed to stay in touching distance throughout. And in the decisive fourth quarter; you could see they came out with real intensity and determination to come back and win the game. Fuelled by another superhuman performance from Paul George; they somehow came back late in the game to record their second victory of the season; aided & abetted by Reggie Jackson's tough, circus-like shot right at the end.

Another trademark of their season is the emergence of their LI-T trio of Luke Kennard; Isaiah Hartenstein & Terance Mann; and you when establish a signature like that; it could really make a difference in your game. They did it again this time; with Kennard's three-point shooting; Hartenstein's  rebounding & Mann's energy all a decisive factor in this win.
