Southampton continued their steady progress in the FA Cup; beating AFC Bournemouth 3-0 away to stake their claim in the semi-finals of this illustrious competition. Nathan Redmond; who had been in rather inconsistent form & had only one goal so far this season; managed to triple his goal tally in this game and also lay on a sublime assist for Moussa Djenepo to open the scoring. He was ably assisted by the hardworking Stuart Armstrong; who ran all day and created countless opportunities for the Saints. After a brilliant start; Saints have somewhat stumbled in the league of late; however; with this victory; they will look to gain FA Cup success for only the second time in their history; after the earth-shattering 1976 victory over Manchester United.
