Play It Again Sam

West Bromwich Albion defied the odds to turn up a stunning 5-2 victory over high-flying Chelsea at Stamford Bridge; as the second-from-bottom relegation certainties produced a scintillating upset to stun the Champions League chasers.

Sam Allardyce's brilliant strategy to play their way and attack Chelsea worked a treat; as Thomas Tuchel's men imploded under a cloud of poor give-aways and surprisingly lacklustre play. Nowhere was this best exemplified than holding midfielder Jorginho's three poor back-passes that led to chaos in the home defence; leading the excellent Matheus Pereira to pu them 2-1 up after Thiago Silva had been sent off in rash fashion.

Republic of Ireland international Callum Robinson also played the game of his life; hitting a scorching third before wrapping things up with a late fifth;as the home side's defence simply fell apart. This is a Chelsea that has been mesmerising recently in keeping clean sheets; and this first loss ever under Thomas Tuchel was stunning indeed.
