The Comeback Bleus

France came from behind for the seventh time in eight matches; this time clinching a stunning victory over Spain for the UEFA Nations League title. Spain; missing their two main strikers Alvaro Morata & Gerard Moreno through injury; tried to impose their possession-style football on the game; and took the lead midway through the second half through an incisive strike from Mikel Oyarzabal after a mistake from substitute Dayot Upamecano.

Before they could finish celebrating properly however; France came roaring back; with Karim Benzema producing a worldie to beat Spain 'keeper Unai Simon in the top corner. The momentum was on knife-edge; till Kylian Mbappe; who had a quiet game throughout; suddenly found himself in space to slot past Simon for the winning goal. There were shades of offside but Eric Garcia's sliding touch proved the difference.

Paul Pogba was again monstrous in a France shirt; looking different from his Man United days. He was tigerish in both offense and defense; and his tempestuous spark at the referee & teammate Benjamin Pavard seemed to ignite the game in France's favour. With Benzema & Mbappe upfront and Antoine Griezmann just behind them; France truly look like having the greatest forward line in world football.
