England are certainly one of the hottest teams in world football at the moment. With a trajectory of fourth in World Cup 2018; third in the Nations League 2019; and runners-up at Euro 20; they are certainly on the right path and may end up being champions at the next World Cup in Qatar 2022.
However; one of the conundrums facing manager Gareth Southgate is who to utilise on the right side of attack; assuming the other two positions are safely assured by Harry Kane & Raheem Sterling. With their embarrassment of riches up-front; he has no less than 10 names to call on.
The in-form Phil Foden of Manchester City could well be the favourite; able to operate as an inverted winger on the right side; but we should not forget his new City team-mate Jack Grealish; who has looked good in an England jersey so far. Arsenal's Bukayo Saka would also come into the reckoning; as does Manchester United's new man Jadon Sancho. Of course another prime candidate would be Chelsea's energetic starlet Mason Mount and not long ago; the incumbent in this position would of course be United's pre-eminent striker Marcus Rashford. Slightly on the outside looking in would be Arsenal's new rising star Emile Smith Rowe; who seems to be well-trusted by his manager Mikel Arteta; and another of United's young prodigies Mason Greenwood; who seems to excel on the right side. And we should also not forget the revitalised Jesse Lingard and former favourite James Maddison of Leicester City.
