This City

In the first match-up between these two heavyweights; it was Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) who showed the world who's boss; producing an excellent performance to beat Manchester City 2-0 behind a mesmerising goal from Lionel Messi.

Well in the return fixture; it was Josep Guardiola's men who showed the world how good they are; showing possession & resiliency to come from behind and win 2-1 in a breathtaking encounter. Yes they had the lion's share of possession in the first half and some good chances; but when Kylian Mbappe scored from a typical PSG counter-attack; you feared for their worst.

But like all champions do; they came back strong. With the match melting before their eyes; they dug deep to turn it around. First; a lovely ball from Rodrigo found the rampaging Kyle Walker to cross for Sterling; before another sumptuous move from Riyad Mahrez found the in-form Bernardo Silva to set up substitute Gabriel Jesus for the winner.

The thing about PSG is that for all their forward brilliance of Messi; Neymar & Mbappe; they do lack a bit on the defensive end; and are these players willing to track back and dig deep when the chips are down? It didn't look good on this episode.

On the converse side; City are looking better than ever; and with players like Silva; Joao Cancelo; Rodrigo; Ilkay Gundogan; Kyle Walker & Raheem Sterling in the form of their lives; the rest of the world should be very afraid.
