In the latest K-drama series Hellbound; a group of supernatural beings come to serve a decree and literally send people to Hell lol... it explores the themes of sin & mortality; and also the behavior of humans when dealing with cataclysmic situations.
While much compared to the other mega series Squid Game; there are a few ways it pales in comparison: unlike the straight-forward do-or-die nature of Squid Game; Hellbound sometimes deviates into a more complex; meandering storyline; thus diffusing its intended purpose. The action also stagnates at times; leaving a little long-drawn and short of thrills. The characters; while with some decent performances; also pale in comparison with the characters so defined & loved in Squid Game.
