There have been many Robin Hood movies to date. Nine in fact. Perhaps the most famous is Kevin Costner back in 1991 in the 'Prince Of Thieves' version.
Well the latest one in 2018 is not that bad. Starring 'Elton John' Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx; it is a rather more modern rock 'n' roll version of Robin Hood; about him rising from obscurity; going through the ravages of war; before upskilling to take on the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham.
While appearing a bit amateur & patchy at times; overall the film does deliver a decent storyline and strong acting. Foxx does a good job as Robin's sidekick John; wile the lovely Marian is well portrayed by a bright-eyed Eve Hewson.
