In today's age of nostalgia; it seems music is the latest trend. I couldn't be happier that Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' (a song I never liked) is getting a new lease of life after being featured in an essential episode of hit drama Stranger Things.
Oh I remembered when the song was first released: 1985 when I just started listening to music. Those were the days when Duran Duran and Depeche Mode ruled the airwaves. The song was big then; and the fact that it has resurfaced and hit the charts almost 40 years later just blows the mind.
It is not the only one though; 'Master Of Puppets' by Metallica is also getting a second hearing; whilst who can forget the Guns N' Roses-inspired soundtrack for Thor: Love & Thunder that took it to greater heights? My only regret was why 'Take My Breath Away' never got a second airing at Top Gun? That surely would have topped the bill. :-)
