The Circus Man

Reggie Jackson is famed as Mr Circus Shot: the one who can hit late winners like no-one else can... With Paul George out recently; he has been carrying an even larger load than usual; as playmaker; scorer and leader no less; and he came up big again as the Los Angeles Clippers out-dueled the lowly Orlando Magic in another classic.

As the commentator said; he looked 'gassed' and I think everyone on the court could see that too; but he was determined not to let himself or his team down; and in the closing stages of this close contest; he inexplicably put up 9 of the Clippers' final 13 points; including the vital go-ahead jumper to seal the deal for the hometown Clippers.

It negated a valiant outing for the Magic; who despite their lowly record actually have some legit young talent on their roster. Not least the Wagner brothers; who surprised all & sundry with their stellar play; driving to the hoop and making long shots. Their standout player this season has been Cole Anthony; and the second-year man came up big again; hitting a big three near the end to keep things tight.
