Total Eclipse Of The Suns

The LA Clippers had seemed to be finding some form recently; in fact they had won their previous three games; but let's face it: it wasn't against particularly devastating opposition in the form of Portland; Boston & Orlando.

Well this time it was for real: and it don't get no tougher against the Phoenix Suns; the best team in the world at the minute. So you could say it was a nerve-jangling time for the Clippers; especially without their best players Kawhi Leonard; Paul George; and Nicolas Batum. But the Suns were also without their star players Devin Booker & DeAndre Ayton; so it was interesting to see how it panned out.

Well in the end; the Clippers put up their best performance of the season to eclipse the Suns 111-95 in a statement victory. Marcus Morris Sr.; one of the in-form players in the league right now; did it again; hitting tough shots from all over the court to power his Clips to this victory. And he was ably supported by the usual suspects Reggie Jackson; Luke Kennard and Terance Mann; as the LIT trio of Luke; Isaiah and Terance continued the onslaught.

For Phoenix; they looked strangely jaded and perhaps this was one game too far. They just never looked out of the blocks and were always a tad slow on defense; allowing the Clips to drive through and gain multiple foul opportunities. Credit though to the Clippers; who maintained their hotness all through the night and never looked once to allow the Suns a way back.
