Deadly Assault

Assault On Precinct 13 is a 2005 film starring a still-young Ethan Hawke and an as-usual-top-form Laurence Fishburne. The story is a rather unusual one: Marlon Bishop is a hardcore criminal that due to snowstorms; is diverted to a rather desolate police post down Precinct 13. Hawke is the sergeant there; and in the final day of service; they suddenly have to house Bishop plus a few other criminals.

What transpires is a group of corrupt cops decide to storm the place and take down Bishop so as to protect themselves; thus Hawke now finds himself in the rather strange & unenviable task of getting the criminals to protect them against other criminals (lol)./

Even though the premise of the film is good; the film seems to lack a bit of energy and cinematography effort. The acting of the characters could have been better; especially in the portrayal of the tension scenes that could have added to the drama of the film. Only Fishburne can be said to be in top form. Then again he always is.
