For the first time in history; the US Open doubles first round was played on Center Court; as it featured not ust Serena but her sister Venus in a true Sister Act; in what may also be the duo's final time on court. Not surprisingly; they lost in the first round to the Czech team Lucie Hradecka & Linda Noskova.
Shy, Reserved, Demure.... I'm afraid I'm none of these things. This blog aims to share my personal philosophies, musings and principles of happenings, events & bizzarios around the world, as well as inculcating some of my personal, valued insights into the four passions of my life: reading, sports, music & movies. All in all, it aims to educate and showcase to everyone this beautiful thing called LIFE. Enjoy... and try not to get blown away...

The Power Of Goodbye
Serena Williams - now ranked World No. 608 - created a fairy-tale by upsetting World No. 2 Anett Kontaveit in the US Open second round. As she rightly said; she feels she has already "won the tournament". Crowds at the US Open have been packed to the rafters to witness Serena's Farewell Tour; with every match possibly her last and no one wanting to miss the occasion.
