Music Best Served Cold

I've been to countless concerts; watched countless DVDs and heard countless music on the radio... but so far only one band has shown that they really care... and that is Coldplay. Maybe it's the LED wristbands that change colour in time with the song; maybe it's the way they interact and even involve the fans; or maybe it's their environmentally sustainable mantra... but Coldplay really makes you feel involved in the whole thing.

I also like how they got into it early; launching with Higher Power before getting into it with Paradise on the third song. From there; the concert really got moving as they dug into their deep repertoire of hits; with Viva La Vida; Sky Full Of Stars & the encore Fix You amongst the favourites. The only thing was they notably left out a few of their hits such as In My PlaceSpeed Of Sound; The Hardest Part and the string of songs from the Viva La Vida album.

Even a broken piano couldn't spoil their momentum; as Chris Martin was interrupted at the start of The Scientist. He managed to stay cool though; and in the end the guitars of Jonny Buckland could pull it off just the same. They also surprised everyone by stopping just at the crucial moment of Sky Full Of Stars to implore everyone to stop taking their mobile phone videos and just enjoy the moment; and also for the encore when they popped up at the front stage for the crowd at the back.
